The address of the Green Grass Gallery mentioned here shows that it was in a building that was owned by Milton Glaser at the time and also housed his headquarters (the structure has been the home of the New York Review of Books since 2020). A version of this image appeared on the cover of the magazine supplement to the German newspaper the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on November 20, 1987; Chwast was frequently commissioned to produce designs for this publication during the 1980s and early 1990s.
