In Glaser’s appropriately light-hearted poster promoting an exhibition of toys designed by artists at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, he fashions a 19th-century artist as a wind-up toy with a giant key in his back. Once the key is wound, the artist appears to move forward, spattering random marks with a brush onto a white canvas.
