Chwast has designed a number of posters for organizations that advocate gun control. In a 2001 poster advertising a forthcoming rally in Kansas City for gun-industry accountability, the stark image on a yellow ground of a smoking gun with the smoke forming a dollar sign vividly and powerfully represents one of the issues addressed by the Coalition Against Gun Industry Profiteering (and many similar organizations) during the Bush administration.
