This poster promotes some of the talent represented by Ink Tank, R.O. Blechman’s New York animation studio, in operation between 1978 and 2004. Chwast’s comic but slightly disconcerting image of a hand with eight fingers labeled with the artists’ names suggests that you cannot count the number of these distinguished figures on the fingers of one hand. Chwast originally drew the hand in colored pencil and then applied ink and watercolor to the fingertips.
