This is one of several posters that Chwast designed for Serigraphie Noblet, a print studio founded in New York in 1989 by master silkscreen printer Jean-Yves Noblet. In a typically humorous design, Chwast incorporates a play on words as he demonstrates what high-quality silkscreen printing can do—transform the small, colorless drawing of a frog at upper left into the magnificent multicolored, multipatterned amphibian shown kissing the princess in the foreground of the composition. Not a prince as in the fairytale but something even better—a print.
