In a poster for the School of Visual Arts’ “Subway Series,” Glaser represents the power of the artistic sensibility suggested in the tag line. Glaser not only asserts the critical role of the artist’s vision here but also vividly evokes the artistic process itself in a trompe-l’œil composition in which the paper collage, held in place by pieces of masking tape, and the notebook page supporting it, seem to spring off the page.
