Seymour Chwast injects a characteristically humorous note into his poster advertising the 1979 Robert Altman film Rich Kids, about two privileged 12-year-olds on the Upper West Side of Manhattan who find themselves navigating family discord together. In his cartoon-like illustration, he presents rather than explains the reverse dynamic between the kids and their irresponsible parents in the film, showing the tiny adults cavorting heedlessly below the much larger, and more serious-looking children. This is one of very few film posters designed by Chwast.
