Glaser created this humorous design in 1975 for United Artists Tapes, the 8-track cassette division of United Artists Records. These cassettes had been issued since the late 1960s to promote the label’s music albums but due to their technical limitations, they were soon superseded by the compact cassette tape, and pretty much obsolete by the mid-1980s.
