Glaser’s powerful poster commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Holocaust Museum in Houston, Texas, features a grid of colored boxes from which a glowing candle of hope emerges. It is overlaid with a lengthy quotation from Man’s Search for Meaning by Austrian psychologist, psychotherapist, and Holocaust survivor Viktor E. Frankl, who developed the concept of logotherapy based on his belief that the purpose of psychotherapy is to help the individual find meaning in life. The book was first published in German in 1946 under the title Ein Psycholog erlebt das Konzentrationslager (A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp).
