This poster promotes a short-lived division of Push Pin Studios dedicated to producing graphic design for the film industry. The lettering is in the Filmsense font designed in 1967 for the new project, a two-style font family characterized by combined thick and thin letters and evoking the Art Deco fonts of the golden age of Hollywood. It is not completely clear whether the font was designed by Glaser or Chwast. It is described as “Glaser Filmsense” in Photo Lettering’s One Line Manual of Styles (1971) but in The Push Pin Graphic (2004), Chwast says it is his. In any case, this poster is credited to both of them.
