This is one of a number of designs that Glaser published with Domberger, a print workshop and gallery in Filderstadt near Stuttgart in southern Germany founded in the late 1940s and renowned for the quality of its silkscreen prints. This poster promotes an exhibition featuring works produced over more than 50 years of the firm’s history. The surreal image of a chair with the letter “D” balancing on its seat again reflects Glaser’s interest in representing motifs that appear to break the two-dimensional bounds of the paper.
