This silkscreen poster was designed by the celebrated and much-awarded Swiss graphic designer Stephan Bundi of Atelier Bundi, founded in 1975. Since then, he has designed posters for countless cultural organizations across Europe, many of them opera houses. Bundi describes his work as combining “unconventional ideas with the Swiss design tradition.” In this poster for a production of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, the silhouetted figures, some upside down, suggest the romantic confusions of the 18th-century plot while the restricted color palette, reverse lettering in places, and severe graphic lines reflect a more contemporary artistic sensibility.
